PLAGUE the card game
Plague the Card Game.
Venture forth and do battle with your foes while trying not to contract the plague at the same time in this fast-paced trick taking card game. PLAGUE combines elements from classic trick taking games like Spades and Black Maria and infuses rock-paper-scissors and a unique victory point scoring system that will have you both stratching your head and licking your lips. The game takes place in a low-fantasy world much like europe during the dark ages where three major kingdoms are at war. These kingdoms are based loosely on real ones from that time period. But the war is the least of their concerns as a perilous and relentless plague is speading across the world. Now the kingdoms are being wiped out from all sides. It is the players job to protect their lands by protecting it in battle and by trying to keep the plague at bay. This game comes with everything you will need to play a 2-6 player game. You supply the bodies, let PLAGUE supply the fun!

Fantasy art work with a tarot card look. Just looking at some of the cards makes you want to play. Very imaginative..
Just signed up for Zogar’s Gaze and was going to go for Plaguebearer pledge which included Plague 2nd edition…but alas…no soup for me (Sold out)..Drat! Any chance of another micro run Jason?
Steve, Well that was the it for the 2nd edition. The 1st/base edition is still available and will remain available. A third edition is in the works as well if you want to wait. There may still be copies of 2nd edition at Fun Again Games.com. They had 36 copies on hand at one point.

So Jason, I picked up a copy of Plague and have a question: If player #1 plays a blue army and player #2 trumps it with a green army, player #3 would have to play a higher level Green army to take the trick right? I know the suit can only be trumped once so player #3 cannot trump green with red. I just want to be sure that once “Trumped” the suit has then changed (In this example from blue to green) and short of a special card, player #3 would have to have a higher level green card to win the trick with an army card. That confusing enough for ya?
Steve
You are correct. If the 3rd player plays a higher green CV card then player 2, he would win the trick.
Thanks!
Jason
Thanks Jason…that’s probably an obvious one to those who’ve played a lot of Trick taking card games growing up. I haven’t, so I appreciate the clarification on that. Looking forward to playing a few rounds with my sons this Friday night!
Here’s a followup question…If I win a trick with my cleric, but have no plagued tricks in my possession when doing so. Can the trick won with the Cleric be held on the table in front of me and used to cover a plagued trick I may end up with later in the round?
My guess is YES, but curious how you play it…
Hey Jason, I know you’re super busy so I thought I’d repost the “Cleric” question I posted above…..
“If I win a trick with my cleric, but have no plagued tricks in my possession when doing so. Can the trick won with the Cleric be held on the table in front of me and used to cover a plagued trick I may end up with later in the round?”
Thanks!
